طاهره دلاک بود. پنجاه ساله، با دستهایی که خستگی را میشست.
Tahereh was a bathhouse attendant. Fifty years old, with hands that washed away fatigue.
"دستات جادو میکنن."
"Your hands work magic."
"جادو نیست. کاره."
"It's not magic. It's work."
"کار با عشق؟"

خدیجه حنا میبست. چهل و نه ساله، با طرحهایی که روی پوست میماند.

"این طرح چیه؟"
"What is this design?"
"گل و بته."
"Flowers and leaves."
"معنیش چیه؟"
"What does it mean?"
"که زیبایی موقتیه، ولی عشق موندنیه."

عروسشور | The Bridal Bath
مرضیه عروسها را میشست. پنجاه و یک ساله، با سنتهایی که مادربزرگها یاد داده بودن.

"چرا عروس باید حمام بره؟"
"Why must a bride go to the bath?"
"برای پاک شدن."
"For purification."
"از چی؟"
"From what?"
"از گذشته. برای آینده."

سربینهدار | The Bathhouse Keeper
عصمت سربینه رو میگرداند. چهل و هشت ساله، با نظمی که حمام میخواست.
Esmat ran the entrance hall. Forty-eight years old, with the order a bathhouse required.
"چرا حمام اینقدر مهمه؟"
"Why is the bathhouse so important?"
"چون اینجا آدمها لخت میشن."
"Because here people become bare."
"لخت؟"
"Bare?"
"نه فقط تن. روح هم."
"Not just body. Soul too."
گازر | The Washerwoman
ملوک لباس میشست. پنجاه ساله، با دستهایی که لکهها را میشناخت.
Molouk washed clothes. Fifty years old, with hands that knew stains.
"هر لکهای پاک میشه؟"
"Does every stain come clean?"
"نه."
"No."
"کدومها نمیشن؟"
"Which ones don't?"
"لکههای دل."
"Stains of the heart."
"اونها رو چطور پاک میکنی؟"
"How do you clean those?"
"با عشق."
