第一章 | Chapter One: 雪国の蔵 (Snow Country Brewery)

新潟の山間に、三百年続く酒蔵があった。

In the mountains of Niigata stood a sake brewery with three hundred years of history.

四十九歳の雪花は、この蔵の女杜氏だった。ふくよかな体は、酒造りの重労働で鍛えられていた。

Forty-nine-year-old Yukika was the female master brewer of this brewery. Her full figure was tempered by the heavy labor of sake-making.

「新潟の酒は、雪と水と、杜氏の魂で醸します」

"Niigata sake is brewed with snow, water, and the brewer's soul."

第二章 | Chapter Two: 麹室の秘密 (Secrets of the Koji Room)

ある冬の夜、酒類評論家が蔵を訪れた。

One winter night, a sake critic visited the brewery.

雪花は彼を麹室に案内した。温かく湿った空気が二人を包む。

Yukika led him to the koji room. Warm, humid air enveloped them.

「麹室は、酒の心臓部。ここで、米が酒に生まれ変わるのです」

"The koji room is the heart of sake. Here, rice is reborn as sake."

彼女の作業着から、汗で湿った豊満な体が透けて見えた。

Through her work clothes, her voluptuous body, damp with sweat, was visible.

第三章 | Chapter Three: 絞りの夜 (Night of Pressing)

「今夜は、特別な酒の絞りの夜」雪花は囁いた。

"Tonight is the night of pressing a special sake," Yukika whispered.

彼女は槽場で、白い酒粕から透明な酒が滴り落ちるのを見守っていた。

She watched in the pressing room as clear sake dripped from the white lees.

「この瞬間が、一番美しい。生まれたての酒は、まるで赤ちゃんのよう」

"This moment is the most beautiful. Newborn sake is like a baby."

彼女の大きな瞳に、滴る酒が映っていた。

The dripping sake was reflected in her large eyes.

第四章 | Chapter Four: 朝の利き酒 (Morning Tasting)

夜が明け、雪花は絞りたての酒を二人分注いだ。

As dawn broke, Yukika poured freshly pressed sake for two.

「この酒は、あなたと私だけのもの。市場には出しません」

"This sake is for you and me alone. It won't go to market."

彼女の温かい手が、杯を手渡す。

Her warm hands passed him the cup.

「また、蔵に来てください。次の仕込みを、一緒に見届けましょう」

"Please come to the brewery again. Let's witness the next brewing together."

新潟の雪景色が、二人の約束を見守っていた。

The Niigata snowscape watched over their promise.
