第一章 | Chapter One: 花街の師匠 (Master of the Flower District)

祇園の奥まった路地に、舞妓の稽古場があった。

In a secluded alley of Gion was a maiko training hall.

四十八歳の舞子は、かつて最も美しい芸妓として名を馳せた。今は、ふくよかな体に年月の重みを纏い、若い舞妓たちを導いている。

Forty-eight-year-old Maiko had once been renowned as the most beautiful geisha. Now, with the weight of years on her full figure, she guided young maiko.

「舞妓になるには、技だけでは足りません。心を磨くのです」

"To become a maiko, skill alone is not enough. You must polish your heart."

第二章 | Chapter Two: 特別な稽古 (Special Training)

ドキュメンタリー監督が、撮影のために訪れた。

A documentary director came for filming.

舞子は彼を稽古場に招き入れた。三味線の音が響く中、彼女は自ら舞い始めた。

Maiko invited him into the training hall. As shamisen music echoed, she began to dance herself.

「私の体は、もう舞妓ではありません。でも、心はまだ舞を覚えています」

"My body is no longer a maiko's. But my heart still remembers the dance."

彼女の豊満な体が、優雅に畳の上を滑る。

Her voluptuous body glided elegantly across the tatami.

第三章 | Chapter Three: 白粉の秘密 (Secret of White Makeup)

「舞妓の化粧には、秘密があります」舞子は囁いた。

"Maiko makeup has secrets," Maiko whispered.

彼女は鏡台の前で、白粉を塗り始めた。

She began applying white makeup before the mirror stand.

「この白粉の下に、本当の私がいます。誰にも見せたことがありません」

"Beneath this white makeup is the real me. I've never shown anyone."

月明かりの中、彼女の素顔が少しだけ覗いた。

In the moonlight, her bare face peeked through slightly.

第四章 | Chapter Four: 朝の花街 (Morning Flower District)

夜が明け、花街は静まり返っていた。

As dawn broke, the flower district was quiet.

「この時間の祇園が、一番好き」舞子は微笑んだ。

"I love Gion best at this hour," Maiko smiled.

彼女の温かい手が、彼の手に触れた。

Her warm hand touched his.

「また、祇園に来てくださいね。私の舞を、もう一度見てほしいのです」

"Please come to Gion again. I want you to see my dance once more."

京都の朝霧が、二人の秘密を包んでいた。

The Kyoto morning mist wrapped their secret.
