第一章 | Chapter One: 真珠の海 (Sea of Pearls)

伊勢志摩の静かな入り江に、海女の小屋があった。

In a quiet cove of Ise-Shima stood an ama diver's hut.

四十九歳の海子は、この海で四十年、真珠貝と共に生きてきた。ふくよかな体は、海に鍛えられて逞しく、肌は潮風で艶やかに輝いていた。

Forty-nine-year-old Umiko had lived with pearl oysters in this sea for forty years. Her full figure was tempered by the ocean, and her skin glowed from the sea breeze.

「海女は、海と一体になる仕事。私の体は、海の一部なのです」

"Being an ama is work of becoming one with the sea. My body is part of the ocean."

真珠会社のバイヤーが、視察のために訪れた。

A pearl company buyer came for an inspection.

海子は彼を船に乗せ、沖へと漕ぎ出した。

Umiko took him aboard her boat and rowed out to sea.

「今から潜ります。見ていてください」

"I'm diving now. Please watch."

彼女は白い磯着姿で海に飛び込んだ。豊満な体が、波間に消えていく。

She dove into the sea in her white diving outfit. Her voluptuous body disappeared into the waves.

「海の底には、特別な世界があります」海子は囁いた。

"At the bottom of the sea is a special world," Umiko whispered.

彼女は真珠貝を見せた。その中に、完璧な真珠が育っていた。

She showed him a pearl oyster. Inside, a perfect pearl had grown.

"This pearl spent the same time in the sea as me. That's why it's special."

彼女の濡れた肌が、夕日に照らされて真珠のように輝いていた。

Her wet skin glowed like a pearl, illuminated by the sunset.

第四章 | Chapter Four: 浜辺の約束 (Beach Promise)

夜が明け、二人は浜辺で朝日を眺めていた。

As dawn broke, they watched the sunrise on the beach.

「この海は、私の全て」海子は微笑んだ。

"This sea is my everything," Umiko smiled.

彼女の温かい手が、一粒の真珠を彼に手渡した。

Her warm hands passed him a single pearl.

「また、伊勢に来てください。次は、一緒に潜りましょう」

"Please come to Ise again. Next time, let's dive together."

伊勢の海が、二人の約束を見守っていた。
