فرنگیس کوه میرفت. پنجاه ساله، با پاهایی که قلهها را میشناخت.
Farangis climbed mountains. Fifty years old, with feet that knew peaks.

صغرا گله داشت. چهل و نه ساله، با صدایی که گوسفندها میشناختن.
Soghra had a flock. Forty-nine years old, with a voice the sheep knew.
"زندگی چوپانی سخته؟"
"Is shepherd life hard?"
"آره. ولی آزاده."
"Yes. But it's free."
"آزادی مهمتره؟"

"این لالهها چرا وارونهان؟"
"Why are these tulips upside down?"
"چون سرشون رو جلوی باد خم میکنن."
"Because they bow their heads to the wind."
"تواضعه؟"
"Is it humility?"
"بقاست. گاهی باید خم شد تا نشکنی."
