مقنی یزد | The Qanat Builder of Yazd
فخری مقنی بود. پنجاه ساله، زنی که آب را از دل زمین بیرون میکشید.
Fakhri was a qanat builder. Fifty years old, a woman who drew water from the earth's heart.
"زن مقنی؟"
"A woman qanat builder?"
"آب فرق نمیذاره کی میکشدش."
"Water doesn't care who draws it."
"ولی کار سخته."
"But the work is hard."
"عشق هم سخته. ولی ارزش داره."

ستارهشناس کویر | The Desert Astronomer
ثریا شبها به آسمان نگاه میکرد. چهل و نه ساله، با چشمانی که ستارهها را میشمرد.

"چرا کویر؟"
"Why the desert?"
"چون اینجا آسمون نزدیکتره."

"با صبر."

رویا بادگیر میساخت. چهل و هشت ساله، با ذهنی که باد را میفهمید.

"بادگیر چطور کار میکنه؟"
"How does a wind tower work?"
"باد رو میگیره، سرد میکنه، پایین میفرسته."
"It catches wind, cools it, sends it down."
"مثل عشق؟"

"عشق برعکسه. از پایین میاد، گرم میکنه، بالا میبره."
