موبد آتشکده | The Fire Temple Priest
بانو مهرانگیز موبد بود. پنجاه ساله، با چشمانی که مثل آتش میدرخشید.
Lady Mehrangiz was a mobad. Fifty years old, with eyes that shone like fire.
"این آتش چند ساله؟"
"How old is this fire?"
"هزار و پانصد سال."
"Fifteen hundred years."
"چطور خاموش نشده؟"
"How has it not gone out?"
"چون همیشه کسی هست که نگهش داره."
"Because there's always someone to tend it."
"مثل عشق؟"
"Like love?"
دخمه یزد | The Yazd Tower of Silence
سپیده راهنمای دخمهها بود. چهل و نه ساله، با احترامی عمیق به مرگ و زندگی.
Sepideh was a guide at the towers. Forty-nine years old, with deep respect for death and life.
"چرا مردهها رو اینجا میذاشتن؟"
"Why did they place the dead here?"
"چون زمین مقدسه. نباید آلوده بشه."
"Because earth is sacred. It shouldn't be polluted."
"و آتش؟"
"And fire?"
"آتش مقدستره."
"Fire is more sacred."
"عشق چی؟"
"What about love?"
"عشق مقدسترین."
"Love is the most sacred."
گهنبار | The Gahanbar Festival
بهناز سفره گهنبار میچید. چهل و هشت ساله، با سنتهایی که نسل به نسل رسیده بود.
Behnaz set the Gahanbar table. Forty-eight years old, with traditions passed down through generations.
"گهنبار چیه؟"
"What is Gahanbar?"
"جشن شکرگزاری."
"A thanksgiving festival."
"برای چی شکر میکنی؟"
"What are you thankful for?"
"برای اینکه تو اینجایی."
"For you being here."
آتشکده یزد | The Yazd Fire Temple
گلی نگهبان آتشکده بود. پنجاه و دو ساله، با ایمانی که کوهها را تکان میداد.
Goli was the fire temple guardian. Fifty-two years old, with faith that moved mountains.
"چرا اینقدر به آتش اعتقاد دارید؟"
"Why do you believe so much in fire?"
"چون آتش دروغ نمیگه."
"Because fire doesn't lie."
"و آدمها؟"
"And people?"
"بعضیها مثل آتشن."
"Some are like fire."
"تو مثل آتشی؟"
"Are you like fire?"
نوروز زرتشتی | Zoroastrian Nowruz
خورشید جشن نوروز برپا میکرد. چهل و هفت ساله، با لباسی سفید و لبخندی گرم.
Khorshid organized the Nowruz celebration. Forty-seven years old, in white clothes with a warm smile.
"نوروز زرتشتی فرق داره؟"
"Is Zoroastrian Nowruz different?"
"فرقش آتشه."
"The difference is fire."
"آتش چی؟"
"What fire?"
"آتشی که تو دل همه روشنه."
"The fire that's lit in everyone's heart."
"دل تو هم روشنه؟"
"Is your heart lit too?"
"از وقتی تو اومدی."
"Since you came."
در آیین زرتشت، آتش نماد عشق ابدیه...
In Zoroastrian tradition, fire is a symbol of eternal love...
