The Mahjong Matriarch of Chongqing
(Night in the Mountain City)
In the nights of Chongqing, neon lights flicker, and hotpot and mahjong are eternal themes.
In a small alley near the Liberation Monument, there was a mahjong parlor known only to locals. The owner, Tang Lamei (Spicy Sister), forty-six, had a full and fiery figure, as direct as her name.
"If you play cards here," she often said, "no crying when you lose."
(The Gamble)
On that rainy night, a businessman from Chengdu walked into her mahjong parlor.
"I've heard Sister Tang's mahjong skills are unmatched," he said. "I'd like to try."
Lamei looked him up and down, her ample bosom rising and falling beneath her tight qipao: "What's the bet?"
"You decide."
A dangerous smile curved her lips: "If you lose, you stay with me tonight."
(Self-Draw)
He lost, and lost badly.
"A bet is a bet," Lamei stood up and led him to a private room upstairs. "Chongqing girls keep their word."
The room was filled with the scent of hotpot and the clicking of mahjong tiles.
"Do you know why it's called 'self-draw'?" She undid her qipao, her full figure fully revealed in the light.
She guided his hand to her body: "Because the best tiles must be touched yourself."
That night, he learned the true meaning of "self-draw."
(Another Round)
"Another round?" she asked at dawn, while dressing.
He watched her full figure from behind: "What's the bet this time?"
"If you win," she turned around, amusement in her eyes, "I'll treat you to hotpot."
"And if I lose?"
"Then keep me company." She left a chili-flavored kiss on his lips. "You won't win anyway."
He laughed: "Then I'll come lose once a month."
In the mountain city nights of Chongqing, some gambles have no losers...
