北海是中国南珠的故乡，这里的珍珠圆润温润。
Beihai is the homeland of Chinese southern pearls, where pearls are round and lustrous.
海边最大的珍珠养殖场由陈海珠经营，四十六岁，身材丰满，皮肤被海风吹得健康红润。
The largest pearl farm by the sea was run by Chen Haizhu, forty-six, with a full figure, skin made healthy and rosy by the sea breeze.
"珍珠是贝壳的眼泪，" 她常说，"越痛苦越美丽。"
"Pearls are the tears of shells," she often said. "The more painful, the more beautiful."
第二章 | Chapter Two: 珠宝商人 (The Jeweler)
那年夏天，一位香港珠宝商来北海采购珍珠。
That summer, a Hong Kong jeweler came to Beihai to purchase pearls.
"陈姐，" 他看着她从海里捞起一篮贝壳，"您这珍珠的品质太好了。"
"Sister Chen," he watched her haul up a basket of shells from the sea, "your pearls are of excellent quality."
海珠擦了擦脸上的海水，丰满的身躯被紧身潜水服包裹得更加诱人。
Haizhu wiped seawater from her face, her full figure made even more alluring wrapped in a tight wetsuit.
"因为我亲自照顾每一颗，" 她说，"就像照顾自己的孩子。"
"Because I personally care for each one," she said, "like caring for my own children."
第三章 | Chapter Three: 海底世界 (Underwater World)
"想看珍珠是怎么长出来的吗？" 那天，她邀请他一起潜水。
"Want to see how pearls grow?" That day, she invited him to dive together.
海底的世界静谧而美丽，贝壳在海藻间若隐若现。
The underwater world was quiet and beautiful, shells appearing and disappearing among seaweed.

She took out a forming pearl and placed it in his palm.

After surfacing, she leaned in his arms, her full figure carrying the salty taste of seawater.

"Pearl formation takes time," she whispered. "So does love."
