保定驴肉火烧闻名全国,"天上龙肉,地上驴肉"是当地人的口头禅。

Baoding's donkey burgers are famous nationwide. "Dragon meat in heaven, donkey meat on earth" is the locals' saying.

老城区最出名的火烧铺由冯大姐经营,四十六岁,身材丰满,祖传三代做驴肉火烧。

The most famous burger shop in the old city was run by Sister Feng, forty-six, with a full figure, making donkey burgers for three generations.

"驴肉要肥瘦相间," 她常说,"火烧要外酥里软。"

"Donkey meat must have the right fat-to-lean ratio," she often said. "The bun must be crispy outside, soft inside."


第二章 | Chapter Two: 美食探店 (Food Exploration)

那年春节前,一位上海的美食主播来保定拍探店视频。

Before Spring Festival that year, a Shanghai food streamer came to Baoding to film.

"冯姐," 他咬了一口火烧,眼睛亮了,"这也太香了!"

"Sister Feng," he bit into a burger, his eyes lighting up, "this is incredibly delicious!"

大姐笑着又给他夹了一个,丰满的臂膀麻利地干活。

Sister Feng laughed and served him another, her full arms working deftly.

"这是我亲手做的," 她说,"和外面卖的不一样。"

"I made this with my own hands," she said. "Different from what's sold elsewhere."

"哪里不一样?"

"What's different?"

"心不一样。"

"The heart is different."


第三章 | Chapter Three: 后厨秘密 (Kitchen Secrets)

"想知道秘方吗?" 打烊后,她问。

"Want to know the secret recipe?" she asked after closing.

她带他进入后厨,展示驴肉的卤制过程。

She took him to the kitchen, showing the donkey meat braising process.

"这卤水是我奶奶传下来的," 她说,丰腴的身躯在蒸汽中若隐若现,"加了三十多种香料。"

"This brine was passed down from my grandmother," she said, her full figure half-visible in the steam. "Over thirty spices."

她将一块刚出锅的驴肉递到他嘴边:"尝尝?"

She brought a piece of freshly braised meat to his lips: "Taste?"

他吃完,她凑近他:"还想尝什么?"

He ate it. She leaned closer: "What else do you want to taste?"


第四章 | Chapter Four: 火烧人生 (Burger Life)

"你的视频发了吗?" 第二天,她问。

"Did you post your video?" she asked the next day.

他看着她丰满的身影在炉前忙碌:"发了。但我隐藏了最重要的部分。"

He watched her full figure busy at the stove: "Yes. But I hid the most important part."

"什么部分?"

"What part?"

"你。" 他走到她身边,"因为我想把你留给自己。"

"You." He walked to her side. "Because I want to keep you for myself."

她笑了,递给他一个刚出炉的火烧:"那你要常来。保定的火烧,需要配保定的女人。"

She laughed, handing him a fresh-from-the-oven burger: "Then you must come often. Baoding burgers need a Baoding woman to match."


在保定的老街上,有些味道比驴肉更让人上瘾...
