The Antique Dealer of Tangier
الفصل الأول | Chapter One
أَبِيعُ التُّحَفَ القَدِيمَةَ فِي طَنْجَةَ.
I sell antiques in Tangier.
دُكَّانِي مَلِيءٌ بِالتَّارِيخِ.
My shop is full of history.
جَاءَتْ مُقْتَنِيَةٌ مِنْ مَتْحَفٍ أُورُوبِّيٍّ.
An acquisitor came from a European museum.
الفصل الثاني | Chapter Two
كَانَتْ فِي الخَمْسِينَ، عَيْنَاهَا تَرَيَانِ القِيمَةَ.
She was in her fifties, her eyes saw value.
"عِنْدَكَ كُنُوزٌ لَا تُقَدَّرُ بِثَمَنٍ!"
"You have priceless treasures!"
"كُلُّ قِطْعَةٍ لَهَا قِصَّةٌ."
"Every piece has a story."
الفصل الثالث | Chapter Three
أَمْسَكَتْ مِصْبَاحًا نُحَاسِيًّا.
She held a brass lamp.
"هَذَا مِنَ القَرْنِ الخَامِسَ عَشَرَ!"
"This is from the fifteenth century!"
"وَأَنَا مِنَ القَرْنِ العِشْرِينَ... لَكِنَّنِي قَدِيمُ الرُّوحِ."
"And I'm from the twentieth century... but old in soul."
الفصل الرابع | Chapter Four
ضَحِكَتْ. "هَذَا مَا أُحِبُّهُ فِي التُّجَّارِ هُنَا."
She laughed. "That's what I love about traders here."
"مَاذَا أَيْضًا تُحِبِّينَ؟"
"What else do you love?"
"طَنْجَةَ... وَغُمُوضَهَا."
"Tangier... and its mystery."
الفصل الخامس | Chapter Five
"أَنَا جُزْءٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الغُمُوضِ."
"I'm part of that mystery."
"أَعْلَمُ... لِهَذَا أَعُودُ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ."
"I know... that's why I return every year."
"هَذِهِ المَرَّةُ مُخْتَلِفَةٌ."
"This time is different."
الفصل السادس | Chapter Six
"كَيْفَ مُخْتَلِفَةٌ؟"
"How different?"
"زَوْجَتِي مَاتَتْ... أَحْتَاجُ قِصَّةً جَدِيدَةً."
"My wife died... I need a new story."
"رُبَّمَا أَنَا جُزْءٌ مِنْهَا."
"Perhaps I'm part of it."
الفصل السابع | Chapter Seven
تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، بَيْنَ التُّحَفِ القَدِيمَةِ.
That night, among old antiques.
"جَسَدُكِ تُحْفَةٌ نَادِرَةٌ."
"Your body is a rare artifact."
"وَأَنْتَ خَبِيرٌ فِي التَّقْدِيرِ."
"And you're an expert in appraisal."
الفصل الثامن | Chapter Eight
اِشْتَرَتْ قِطَعًا لِلْمَتْحَفِ.
She bought pieces for the museum.
لَكِنَّ أَثْمَنَ قِطْعَةٍ... أَنَا.
But the most precious piece... was me.
"لَا يُمْكِنُ بَيْعُكَ... فَقَطْ اِمْتِلَاكُكَ."
"You can't be sold... only owned."
الخاتمة | Conclusion
التُّحَفُ تَحْفَظُ المَاضِيَ.
Antiques preserve the past.
وَحُبُّنَا يَصْنَعُ المُسْتَقْبَلَ.
And our love makes the future.
قِيمَةٌ تَزْدَادُ مَعَ الوَقْتِ.
Value that increases with time.
