The Moussem of Tan-Tan
الفصل الأول | Chapter One
أَنَا شَيْخُ قَبِيلَةٍ مِنَ الرُّحَّلِ.
I am the chief of a nomad tribe.
نَأْتِي إِلَى مُوسِمِ طَانْطَانَ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ.
We come to the Tan-Tan moussem every year.
جَاءَتْ عَالِمَةُ إِثْنُوغْرَافْيَا تَدْرُسُ تُرَاثَنَا.
An ethnographer came studying our heritage.
الفصل الثاني | Chapter Two
كَانَتْ فِي الخَمْسِينَ، مُحْتَرِمَةً لِتَقَالِيدِنَا.
She was in her fifties, respectful of our traditions.
"هَذَا المُوسِمُ تُرَاثٌ عَالَمِيٌّ."
"This moussem is world heritage."
"نَحْنُ نَحْفَظُهُ لِلْأَجْيَالِ."
"We preserve it for generations."
الفصل الثالث | Chapter Three
دَعَوْتُهَا إِلَى خَيْمَتِي.
I invited her to my tent.
"هُنَا نَعِيشُ كَمَا عَاشَ أَجْدَادُنَا."
"Here we live as our ancestors lived."
"هَذَا رَائِعٌ!"
"This is wonderful!"
الفصل الرابع | Chapter Four
سَمِعَتْ أَغَانِينَا وَرَأَتْ رَقْصَاتِنَا.
She heard our songs and saw our dances.
"مُوسِيقَاكُمْ سَاحِرَةٌ."
"Your music is enchanting."
"المُوسِيقَى رُوحُ الصَّحْرَاءِ."
"Music is the soul of the desert."
الفصل الخامس | Chapter Five
"لِمَاذَا أَنْتَ وَحِيدٌ؟ أَيْنَ زَوْجَتُكَ؟"
"Why are you alone? Where is your wife?"
"مَاتَتْ قَبْلَ عَشْرِ سَنَوَاتٍ."
"She died ten years ago."
"آسِفَةٌ..."
"I'm sorry..."
الفصل السادس | Chapter Six
"الصَّحْرَاءُ تُعَلِّمُنَا القَبُولَ."
"The desert teaches us acceptance."
"وَالحُبَّ مِنْ جَدِيدٍ؟"
"And love again?"
"رُبَّمَا... إِذَا جَاءَ القَدَرُ."
"Perhaps... if destiny comes."
الفصل السابع | Chapter Seven
تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، فِي الخَيْمَةِ.
That night, in the tent.
عَلَى صَوْتِ الرِّيحِ وَالطُّبُولِ.
To the sound of wind and drums.
"جَسَدُكَ قَوِيٌّ كَالصَّحْرَاءِ."
"Your body is strong like the desert."
الفصل الثامن | Chapter Eight
أَكْمَلَتْ دِرَاسَتَهَا.
She finished her study.
لَكِنَّهَا تَأْتِي كُلَّ مُوسِمٍ.
But she comes every moussem.
"لِلتُّرَاثِ... وَلَكَ."
"For heritage... and for you."
الخاتمة | Conclusion
المُوسِمُ يَجْمَعُ الرُّحَّلَ.
The moussem gathers nomads.
وَجَمَعَنَا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا.
And it gathered us too.
حُبٌّ بَدَوِيٌّ تَحْتَ خَيْمَةِ القَدَرِ.
A nomadic love under destiny's tent.
