الفصل الأول | Chapter One
أَمْلِكُ قَصْبَةً قَدِيمَةً فِي سْكُورَةَ.
I own an old kasbah in Skoura.
حَوَّلْتُهَا إِلَى فُنْدُقٍ صَغِيرٍ.
I turned it into a small hotel.
جَاءَ كَاتِبٌ يَبْحَثُ عَنِ الإِلْهَامِ.
A writer came seeking inspiration.
الفصل الثاني | Chapter Two
كَانَ فِي الخَمْسِينَ، هَادِئًا، مُتَأَمِّلًا.
He was in his fifties, calm, contemplative.
"أُرِيدُ مَكَانًا هَادِئًا لِلْكِتَابَةِ."
"I want a quiet place to write."
"سْكُورَةُ أَهْدَأُ مَكَانٍ فِي العَالَمِ."
"Skoura is the quietest place in the world."
الفصل الثالث | Chapter Three
قَضَى أَيَّامًا يَكْتُبُ فِي الحَدِيقَةِ.
He spent days writing in the garden.
بَيْنَ النَّخِيلِ وَوَرْدِ الجُورِي.
Among palms and roses.
"مَا الَّذِي تَكْتُبُهُ؟" سَأَلْتُهُ.
"What are you writing?" I asked him.
الفصل الرابع | Chapter Four
"رِوَايَةً عَنِ الحُبِّ المُتَأَخِّرِ."
"A novel about late love."
"هَلْ يُوجَدُ حُبٌّ مُتَأَخِّرٌ؟"
"Is there such a thing as late love?"
"الحُبُّ لَا يَعْرِفُ الوَقْتَ."
"Love knows no time."
الفصل الخامس | Chapter Five
"زَوْجَتُكَ؟"
"Your wife?"
"مَاتَتْ قَبْلَ ثَلَاثِ سَنَوَاتٍ."
"She died three years ago."
"وَأَنَا أَرْمَلَةٌ مُنْذُ خَمْسٍ."
"And I've been a widow for five."
الفصل السادس | Chapter Six
"رُبَّمَا الوَاحَةُ جَمَعَتْنَا."
"Perhaps the oasis brought us together."
"رُبَّمَا..."
"Perhaps..."
"هَلْ تَسْمَحِينَ لِي أَنْ أَكْتُبَ عَنْكِ؟"
"Will you allow me to write about you?"
الفصل السابع | Chapter Seven
تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، عَلَى سَطْحِ القَصْبَةِ.
That night, on the kasbah rooftop.
تَحْتَ نُجُومِ الصَّحْرَاءِ.
Under desert stars.
"سَأَكْتُبُ أَجْمَلَ فَصْلٍ اللَّيْلَةَ."
"I will write the most beautiful chapter tonight."
الفصل الثامن | Chapter Eight
نَشَرَ رِوَايَتَهُ وَنَجَحَتْ.
He published his novel and it succeeded.
وَأَهْدَاهَا لِي.
And dedicated it to me.
"لِصَاحِبَةِ القَصْبَةِ الَّتِي أَلْهَمَتْنِي الحُبَّ."
"To the kasbah owner who inspired me with love."
الخاتمة | Conclusion
الوَاحَةُ مَكَانٌ لِلْحَيَاةِ.
The oasis is a place for life.
وَحَيَاتِي تَغَيَّرَتْ بِفَضْلِهِ.
And my life changed because of him.
حُبٌّ كُتِبَ بَيْنَ النَّخِيلِ.
A love written among palms.
