Nevis Nectar

by Anastasia Chrome|2 min read|
"Honey farmer Josephine harvests the sweetest nectar on Nevis, but when agricultural researcher Ben comes to study her bees, he discovers the beekeeper herself is the island's real treasure."

The bees knew Josephine. They moved around her thick body like a living dress, never stinging, always humming.

Ben watched in awe. He'd studied bees for fifteen years. He'd never seen anything like this.

"Yuh want to get close?" she asked. "Mi show yuh."

"To the bees?"

Her smile said everything. "To start."

She taught him her methods. Ancient techniques passed down through Nevisian generations. The bees responded to her voice, her energy, her presence.

"Is about trust," she said. "They sense yuh intention."

"What do they sense from you?"

"Sweetness." Her eyes met his. "Yuh want to taste?"

The honey was extraordinary. So was the woman who made it.

That night, in her cottage surrounded by hives, she showed him sweetness in all its forms.

"Yes! Ben! Right there!"

Her thick body glistening like the honey she harvested, moans mixing with the distant hum of bees.

"Don't stop! Mi want everything!"

She gave everything. Took everything. They moved together like bees in synchronized flight, creating something precious.

"Yuh sweet like my honey," she breathed.

"You're the nectar. I'm just lucky to taste."

"Then taste more."

Ben's research paper revolutionized bee farming. But he never published what he really learned on Nevis.

How to touch Josephine. How to make her moan. How to spend mornings harvesting honey and nights harvesting pleasure.

"Stay another season," she said.

"Stay forever?"

"Now yuh learning."

Nevis nectar.

The sweetest island secret.
