Leicester Loving

"Textile merchant Adanna's best customer is a thick Mauritanian designer who pays in attention and affection during their private after-hours viewings."

Aisha ordered more fabric than she could possibly use.

Adanna didn't complain. The thick Mauritanian designer was her best customer—and the reason she looked forward to Mondays.

"New shipment from Lagos," Adanna said.

"Show me. Privately."

The showroom door locked behind them.

"This silk is extraordinary," Aisha murmured, running fabric through her fingers. "But I'm more interested in something else."

"What?"

"You." She draped silk over Adanna's shoulders. "You against this fabric. Let me see."

"Aisha—"

"I'm a designer. I need to visualize."

The visualization became vivid.

Aisha undressed Adanna slowly, wrapping her in silks, admiring each reveal.

"Perfect," she breathed. "Every curve."

"The fabric?"

"You. Always you."

On bolts of African print and Egyptian cotton, they created their own patterns.

Aisha's thick body pressed against Adanna's, silk sliding between them.

"You're my muse," Aisha whispered.

"You just want a discount."

"I want everything."

The appointments continued weekly.

Leicester's textile quarter wondered why Adanna never had inventory for other customers on Mondays.

Only Aisha knew why.

"Best supplier in Britain," she'd tell fashion friends.

"Best customer in the world," Adanna agreed.

Some business relationships, they'd learned, wove themselves into something more.
