الفصل الأول | Chapter One
أَعْمَلُ فِي غَابَةِ الأَرْزِ فِي أَزْرُو.
I work in the cedar forest in Azrou.
أُرَاقِبُ قُرُودَ المَاغُوتِ وَأَحْمِيهَا.
I observe and protect the Barbary macaques.
جَاءَتْ مُصَوِّرَةُ حَيَاةٍ بَرِّيَّةٍ.
A wildlife photographer came.
الفصل الثاني | Chapter Two
كَانَتْ فِي الخَمْسِينَ، صَبُورَةً، مُحِبَّةً لِلْحَيَوَانَاتِ.
She was in her fifties, patient, animal-loving.
"أُرِيدُ صُوَرًا قَرِيبَةً لِلْقُرُودِ."
"I want close-up photos of the monkeys."
"أَسْتَطِيعُ مُسَاعَدَتَكِ."
"I can help you."
الفصل الثالث | Chapter Three
قَضَيْنَا أَيَّامًا نُرَاقِبُ القُرُودَ.
We spent days watching the monkeys.
"لِمَاذَا تُحِبُّ هَذِهِ القُرُودَ؟"
"Why do you love these monkeys?"
"لِأَنَّهَا حُرَّةٌ... وَصَادِقَةٌ."
"Because they are free... and honest."
الفصل الرابع | Chapter Four
"وَالبَشَرُ لَيْسُوا صَادِقِينَ؟"
"And humans aren't honest?"
"بَعْضُهُمْ... زَوْجَتِي خَانَتْنِي."
"Some are... my wife betrayed me."
"آسِفَةٌ... أَنَا أَيْضًا خَانَنِي زَوْجِي."
"I'm sorry... my husband also betrayed me."
الفصل الخامس | Chapter Five
"الحَيَوَانَاتُ أَفْضَلُ."
"Animals are better."
"لَكِنَّهَا لَا تُدَفِّئُ اللَّيْلَ." ضَحِكَتْ.
"But they don't warm the night." She laughed.
"أَنْتِ مُحِقَّةٌ."
"You're right."
الفصل السادس | Chapter Six
"الغَابَةُ بَارِدَةٌ فِي اللَّيْلِ."
"The forest is cold at night."
"لَدَيَّ كُوخٌ دَافِئٌ."
"I have a warm hut."
"هَلْ تَدْعُونِي؟"
"Are you inviting me?"
الفصل السابع | Chapter Seven
تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، بَيْنَ أَشْجَارِ الأَرْزِ العِمْلَاقَةِ.
That night, among giant cedar trees.
"جَسَدُكِ دَافِئٌ كَالفِرَاءِ."
"Your body is warm like fur."
"وَأَنْتَ قَوِيٌّ كَالأَرْزِ."
"And you are strong like cedar."
الفصل الثامن | Chapter Eight
نَشَرَتْ صُوَرَهَا فِي مَجَلَّاتٍ عَالَمِيَّةٍ.
She published her photos in international magazines.
وَتَعُودُ كُلَّ مَوْسِمٍ.
And she returns every season.
"لِلْقُرُودِ... وَلَكَ."
"For the monkeys... and for you."
الخاتمة | Conclusion
الغَابَةُ تَجْمَعُ المَخْلُوقَاتِ.
The forest brings creatures together.
وَجَمَعَتْنَا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا.
And brought us together too.
حُبٌّ بَرِّيٌّ كَقُرُودِ الأَرْزِ.
A wild love like the cedar monkeys.
