الفصل الأول | Chapter One
أُدِيرُ تَعَاوُنِيَّةَ نِسَاءٍ لِزَيْتِ الأَرْكَانِ.
I run a women's cooperative for argan oil.
خَمْسُونَ امْرَأَةً يَعْمَلْنَ مَعِي.
Fifty women work with me.
جَاءَ بَاحِثٌ فِي الاِسْتِدَامَةِ.
A sustainability researcher came.
الفصل الثاني | Chapter Two
كَانَ فِي الخَمْسِينَ، مُهْتَمًّا بِتَمْكِينِ المَرْأَةِ.
He was in his fifties, interested in women's empowerment.
"تَعَاوُنِيَّتُكُنَّ نَمُوذَجٌ عَالَمِيٌّ!"
"Your cooperative is a global model!"
"بَنَيْنَاهَا مِنَ الصِّفْرِ."
"We built it from nothing."
الفصل الثالث | Chapter Three
أَرَيْتُهُ كُلَّ مَرَاحِلِ الإِنْتَاجِ.
I showed him all stages of production.
"النِّسَاءُ يَكْسِرْنَ الجَوْزَ بِالحَجَرِ!"
"The women crack nuts with stones!"
"كَمَا فَعَلَتْ جَدَّاتُنَا."
"As our grandmothers did."
الفصل الرابع | Chapter Four
"كَيْفَ بَدَأْتِ هَذَا؟"
"How did you start this?"
"بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِي... اِحْتَجْتُ لِشَيْءٍ أَعِيشُ لَهُ."
"After my husband's death... I needed something to live for."
"فَأَنْشَأْتِ فُرَصًا لِخَمْسِينَ عَائِلَةٍ."
"So you created opportunities for fifty families."
الفصل الخامس | Chapter Five
"لَيْسَ أَنَا وَحْدِي... نَحْنُ مَعًا."
"Not me alone... we together."
"هَذَا مَا يُعْجِبُنِي فِيكِ."
"That's what I admire about you."
"مَاذَا أَيْضًا يُعْجِبُكَ؟" مَزَحْتُ.
"What else do you admire?" I joked.
الفصل السادس | Chapter Six
نَظَرَ إِلَيَّ بِجِدِّيَّةٍ.
He looked at me seriously.
"كُلُّ شَيْءٍ."
"Everything."
قَلْبِي خَفَقَ كَخَفَقَانِ الحَجَرِ عَلَى الجَوْزِ.
My heart beat like stone on nut.
الفصل السابع | Chapter Seven
تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ، فِي بَيْتِي البَسِيطِ.
That night, in my simple home.
"يَدَاكِ قَوِيَّتَانِ وَنَاعِمَتَانِ."
"Your hands are strong and soft."
"مِنْ كَسْرِ الأَرْكَانِ... وَمِنْ زَيْتِهِ."
"From cracking argan... and from its oil."
الفصل الثامن | Chapter Eight
نَشَرَ بَحْثَهُ فِي مَجَلَّاتٍ عَالَمِيَّةٍ.
He published his research in international journals.
وَجَاءَنَا دَعْمٌ كَبِيرٌ.
And we received great support.
"شَرِيكِي فِي النَّجَاحِ... وَفِي الحَيَاةِ."
"My partner in success... and in life."
الخاتمة | Conclusion
الأَرْكَانُ شَجَرَةٌ صَامِدَةٌ.
Argan is a resilient tree.
وَحُبُّنَا نَبَتَ فِي أَرْضٍ صَعْبَةٍ.
And our love grew in difficult soil.
زَيْتٌ ذَهَبِيٌّ مِنْ عَمَلٍ شَاقٍّ.
Golden oil from hard work.
