The antiques shop had been there since the founding of Zichron.

"מדליון. של סבתא שלי. מהרומנים." "A medallion. My grandmother's. From Romania."

"?יש לך תמונה?" "Do you have a picture?"
She showed him. Old. Silver. Engraved.
"ראיתי משהו כזה." "I've seen something like this."
"!איפה?" "Where!"
"תני לי לחפש. תחזרי מחר." "Let me search. Come back tomorrow."

She came back every day. He searched. They talked.
"?סבתא שלך הייתה מפה?" "Was your grandmother from here?"
"היא עלתה ב-1920. מתה ב-48." "She immigrated in 1920. Died in '48."

He found it. In an old estate sale box.
