Yorkshire Hearts

"When Farah inherits a cottage in Yorkshire, she finds it comes with Asad—a tenant with a lease and a past connected to her grandmother."

Yorkshire Hearts

"Your grandmother's lease gave me twelve more months."

Farah stared at the handsome stranger blocking her inherited doorway. "She never mentioned a tenant."

"She never mentioned a granddaughter either." Asad didn't move. "Yet here we both are."

Living adjacent to her grandmother's tenant was infuriating and illuminating.

He told her stories—family history, traditions, reasons behind the distance she'd always felt.

"She wanted to reach out," Asad said. "Pride stopped her."

"Same pride I inherited, probably."

"Definitely." He smiled. "But you're here now."

The storm changed everything—power out, candles lit, two people circling closer.

"This is complicated," Farah whispered as he kissed her.

"Everything worth having is." He pulled her close. "Let me complicate your life properly."

They made love in her grandmother's cottage—new memories layered over old ones.

"Meri jaan," Asad breathed. "I came here to grieve. I'm leaving healed."

"Who says you're leaving?"

"My lease—"

"Sign a new one. Permanently."

The wedding was in the garden her grandmother had loved.

Best inheritance Farah ever received—the cottage, and the man who came with it.
