The Technion chemistry lab was Maya's second home.

Midnight in the lab. Alone.
"?עדיין פה?" he asked, entering. "Still here?"

"?בניסוי" "In the experiment?"
"לא. איתך." "No. With you."
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
"!זה נגד כל כלל אתי" he protested weakly. "This is against every ethical rule!"
"אני יודעת." "I know."
"!אני יכול לאבד את המשרה" "I could lose my job!"
"אני יודעת." "I know."
"!מאיה" "Maya!"
"רן." Her lips met his. Chemistry indeed.
פרק חמישי | Chapter Five
She finished her PhD. Moved to another university.
"?רק בגלל האתיקה" "Just because of ethics?"
"כי אני רוצה שנהיה שווים." "Because I want us to be equals."
"?ואז" "And then?"
"אז נראה מה קורה בניסוי שלנו." "Then we'll see what happens in our experiment."
A year later, Professor Maya Levi married Professor Ran Cohen. Their collaboration continued—in the lab and at home.
