פרק ראשון | Chapter One
Tikkun Leil Shavuot. All-night Torah study.
"?את לומדת לבד?" asked the young man. "Are you studying alone?"
"עכשיו לא." "Not anymore."
פרק שני | Chapter Two
His name was Netanel. Yeshiva student. Searching.
"?למה את פה?" "Why are you here?"
"כי בשבועות מקבלים תורה." "Because on Shavuot we receive Torah."
"?את מאמינה?" "Do you believe?"
"אני מחפשת." "I'm searching."
פרק שלישי | Chapter Three
Midnight. The beit midrash emptied.
"?רוצה ללמוד שיר השירים?" "Want to study Song of Songs?"
"זה... רומנטי." "That's... romantic."
"זה קודש." "It's holy."
"?אין הבדל?" "Isn't there a difference?"
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
"שימני כחותם על לבך," he read. "Set me as a seal upon your heart."
"כי עזה כמוות אהבה." "For love is strong as death."
Their eyes met over the ancient words.
"?זה עדיין לימוד?" "Is this still study?"
"זה הלימוד הכי חשוב." "It's the most important study."
פרק חמישי | Chapter Five
Dawn. The Torah given again.
"?קיבלת משהו הלילה?" "Did you receive something tonight?"
"כן." "Yes."
"?מה?" "What?"
"הבנה שקודש וחול יכולים להיפגש." "Understanding that sacred and secular can meet."
הסוף | The End
בשבועות, מקבלים תורה. ולפעמים, מקבלים גם אהבה.
On Shavuot, we receive Torah. And sometimes, we also receive love.
