Chapter One: The Forgotten Well
In a remote village in the Green Mountain, there was an ancient well people avoided. It was said to grant wishes, but it took something in return!
Elders spoke of a man who wished for wealth and became rich but lost his family. And of a woman who wished for beauty and became beautiful but lost her sight!
They warned: "Do not approach the well! Wishes are poison coated with honey!"

Chapter Two: The Loving Girl
But a girl named Hajar did not heed the warning. She loved a poor young man, and her father refused their marriage.
She went to the well at night and said: "I wish my father would agree!"
A voice came from the well: "Your wish shall be granted. But what will you give?"
She said without thinking: "Anything!"

Chapter Three: The Heavy Price
The father indeed agreed! But on the wedding morning, Hajar found she had forgotten her beloved's face!
She could see him, but felt no love! The well had taken her love in exchange for her wish!
She wept and returned to the well: "I want my love back! Take everything else!"
The voice said: "What is taken does not return."
Chapter Four: The Late Wisdom
Hajar lived with her husband without love. She had children but never felt happiness.
On her deathbed, she said to her grandchildren: "Do not seek wishes from the well. Work with your hands and pray to God. Free wishes have a heavy price."
After her death, the villagers buried the well forever.
