The Sultan's Dream

الفصلُ الأَوَّلُ: الرُّؤْيا الغَرِيبَةُ

Chapter One: The Strange Vision

اسْتَيْقَظَ السُّلْطانُ ناصِرٌ مُرْتَعِبًا. رَأَى فِي مَنامِهِ طائِرًا أَبْيَضَ يَقُودُهُ إِلى كَهْفٍ فِي الجَبَلِ. فِي الكَهْفِ كَنْزٌ عَظِيمٌ، وَفَوْقَهُ كِتابَةٌ: «هَذا لِإِنْقاذِ عُمانَ.»

Sultan Nasir woke terrified. He saw in his dream a white bird leading him to a cave in the mountain. In the cave was a great treasure, and above it writing: "This is to save Oman."

اسْتَدْعَى مُفَسِّرَ الأَحْلامِ. قالَ المُفَسِّرُ: «هَذِهِ رُؤْيا صادِقَةٌ يا مَوْلايَ. اِتَّبِعْها!»

He summoned the dream interpreter. The interpreter said: "This is a true vision, my lord. Follow it!"

الفصلُ الثَّانِي: البَحْثُ عَنِ الكَهْفِ

Chapter Two: The Search for the Cave

خَرَجَ السُّلْطانُ مُتَنَكِّرًا يَبْحَثُ عَنِ الكَهْفِ. مَشَى أَيَّامًا فِي الجِبالِ. وَفِي اليَوْمِ السَّابِعِ، رَأَى طائِرًا أَبْيَضَ!

The Sultan went out in disguise searching for the cave. He walked for days in the mountains. On the seventh day, he saw a white bird!

تَبِعَهُ حَتَّى وَصَلَ إِلى كَهْفٍ مَخْفِيٍّ. دَخَلَهُ فَوَجَدَ ما رَآهُ فِي الحُلْمِ بِالضَّبْطِ: ذَهَبًا وَفِضَّةً وَجَواهِرَ!

He followed it until he reached a hidden cave. He entered and found exactly what he saw in the dream: gold, silver, and jewels!

الفصلُ الثَّالِثُ: إِنْقاذُ المَمْلَكَةِ

Chapter Three: Saving the Kingdom

فِي ذَلِكَ العامِ، ضَرَبَتْ مَجاعَةٌ عُمانَ. كانَ الكَنْزُ كافِيًا لِشِراءِ الطَّعامِ مِنَ الهِنْدِ وَفارِسَ.

That year, a famine struck Oman. The treasure was enough to buy food from India and Persia.

لَمْ يَمُتْ أَحَدٌ جُوعًا. وَحِينَ انْتَهَتِ المَجاعَةُ، بَنَى السُّلْطانُ بِالبَقِيَّةِ مَدارِسَ وَمُسْتَشْفَياتٍ.

No one died of hunger. When the famine ended, the Sultan built schools and hospitals with the remainder.

قالَ لِلنَّاسِ: «الحُلْمُ كانَ رِسالَةً مِنَ اللهِ. وَواجِبُنا أَنْ نُحَوِّلَ الرَّحْمَةَ إِلى عَمَلٍ.»

He told the people: "The dream was a message from God. Our duty is to transform mercy into action."
