The Mountain Hermit

Chapter One: The Man Who Left Everything

In a high cave above the peaks of the Hajar Mountains, there lived a man called Ibrahim. Thirty years ago, he had been a wealthy merchant in Muscat, owning ships and shops.

But he left everything and climbed to the mountain. People asked him: "Why?" He said: "To find myself."

Chapter Two: The Seeker of Wisdom

One day, a young man from the village climbed to the cave. His name was Yusuf, and his heart was filled with sadness and confusion.

He said: "O Sheikh, I am miserable despite having everything. What is the secret of happiness?"

Ibrahim smiled and said: "Sit and look at the horizon. What do you see?"

Chapter Three: The Mountain's Lesson

Yusuf looked at the horizon for a long time. He saw mountains, valleys, and the vast sky. He felt a peace he had never known before.

Ibrahim said: "Happiness is not in what you own, but in what you perceive. When you perceive the beauty of existence, you become richer than all kings."

Yusuf returned to the village a new man, looking at life with open eyes and a grateful heart.
