The Hundred Gates
الفصلُ الأَوَّلُ: القَصْرُ الأُسْطُورِيُّ
Chapter One: The Legendary Palace
يُحْكَى أَنَّ قَصْرًا قَدِيمًا يَقِفُ فِي قَلْبِ عُمانَ، لَهُ مِئَةُ بابٍ. كُلُّ بابٍ يُؤَدِّي إِلى مَكانٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ: بَحْرٌ أَوْ جَبَلٌ، صَحْراءُ أَوْ واحَةٌ، ماضٍ أَوْ مُسْتَقْبَلٌ!
It is told that an ancient palace stands in the heart of Oman, with a hundred gates. Each gate leads to a different place: sea or mountain, desert or oasis, past or future!
سَمِعَتْ بِهِ فَتاةٌ شُجاعَةٌ تُدْعَى مَيْمُونَةَ. قَرَّرَتْ أَنْ تَجِدَهُ وَتَكْتَشِفَ أَسْرارَهُ.
A brave girl called Maymuna heard of it. She decided to find it and discover its secrets.
الفصلُ الثَّانِي: رِحْلَةُ الأَبْوابِ
Chapter Two: The Journey of Gates
وَجَدَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ القَصْرَ بَعْدَ بَحْثٍ طَوِيلٍ. فَتَحَتْ أَوَّلَ بابٍ فَوَجَدَتْ نَفْسَها فِي عُمانَ قَبْلَ أَلْفِ عامٍ!
Maymuna found the palace after long searching. She opened the first gate and found herself in Oman a thousand years ago!
رَأَتِ التُّجَّارَ وَالبَحَّارَةَ وَالعُلَماءَ. تَعَلَّمَتْ كَيْفَ بَنَى الأَجْدادُ حَضارَتَهُمْ.
She saw merchants, sailors, and scholars. She learned how ancestors built their civilization.
فَتَحَتْ بابًا ثانِيًا: كانَتْ فِي مُسْتَقْبَلِ عُمانَ! مُدُنٌ حَدِيثَةٌ وَتِقَنِيَّاتٌ عَجِيبَةٌ، لَكِنَّ النَّاسَ لا يَزالُونَ كُرَماءَ وَطَيِّبِينَ.
She opened a second gate: she was in Oman's future! Modern cities and amazing technologies, but people were still generous and kind.
الفصلُ الثَّالِثُ: البابُ الأَخِيرُ
Chapter Three: The Final Gate
فَتَحَتْ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ بابًا، كُلُّ واحِدٍ يَكْشِفُ جَمالَ عُمانَ وَتارِيخَها وَمُسْتَقْبَلَها.
She opened ninety-nine gates, each revealing Oman's beauty, history, and future.
البابُ المِئَةُ كانَ مُغْلَقًا بِإِحْكامٍ. وَجَدَتْ كِتابَةً عَلَيْهِ: «هَذا البابُ يُفْتَحُ بِقَلْبٍ يُحِبُّ عُمانَ حُبًّا صادِقًا.»
The hundredth gate was firmly closed. She found writing on it: "This gate opens with a heart that truly loves Oman."
وَضَعَتْ يَدَها عَلَيْهِ، وَامْتَلَأَ قَلْبُها بِالحُبِّ. انْفَتَحَ البابُ... وَوَجَدَتْ نَفْسَها فِي بَيْتِها، بَيْنَ أَهْلِها، فَعَرَفَتْ أَنَّ أَجْمَلَ مَكانٍ هُوَ الوَطَنُ.
She placed her hand on it, and her heart filled with love. The gate opened... and she found herself at home, among her family, and knew that the most beautiful place is the homeland.
