The mission was simple: seduce the Iranian scientist, extract information. Tamar had done it before.
But Dr. Farhad was different.
"?את ישראלית" he asked in Hebrew, surprising her. "You're Israeli?"

They were in his Vienna hotel room. The view was beautiful. He was more so.
"אני יודע למה את כאן," he said. "I know why you're here."
"?אתה יודע" "You know?"

"?בתמורה למה" "In exchange for what?"

She reported everything to her handlers—except what really happened.
"!פרהאד... אנחנו אויבים" "Farhad... we're enemies!"

His touch erased borders. His kiss ended wars.
"זה בגידה במדינה שלי." "This is betraying my country."

He defected. She was promoted. They never spoke again.
But sometimes, in her dreams, she heard his voice.

She woke up alone, her hand reaching for someone who was now on the other side of the world—and the other side of a war.
