פרק ראשון | Chapter One
The moshav hadn't changed. The orange groves, the dusty roads. But Liora had.
"?ליאורה? את חזרת" called Boaz from his tractor. "Liora? You're back?"
She remembered him as a young father. Now his wife was gone. His children grown.
"שלוש שנים באמריקה. מספיק." "Three years in America. Enough."
פרק שני | Chapter Two
"?את נשארת" "Are you staying?"
"אני לא יודעת. אני צריכה לחשוב." "I don't know. I need to think."
"בואי לאכול ארוחת ערב. אני בישלתי יותר מדי." "Come eat dinner. I cooked too much."
His house was warm, lived-in. Photos of his late wife on the walls.
"?את לא מרגישה מוזר" "Don't you feel strange?"
"למה?" "Why?"
"לאכול עם גבר לבד?" "Eating alone with a man?"
פרק שלישי | Chapter Three
"כשהייתי ילדה, הסתכלתי עליך דרך החלון." "When I was a girl, I watched you through the window."
"?באמת" "Really?"
"חשבתי שאתה הגבר הכי יפה במושב." "I thought you were the most handsome man in the moshav."
"הייתי נשוי." "I was married."
"ידעתי. זה לא עצר את הדמיון." "I knew. That didn't stop my imagination."
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
Night on his porch. Stars over the fields.
"את צעירה מדי בשבילי." "You're too young for me."
"אני בת שלושים ושתיים. אני יודעת מה אני רוצה." "I'm thirty-two. I know what I want."
"?ומה את רוצה" "And what do you want?"
"אותך. מאז שהייתי בת שש עשרה." "You. Since I was sixteen."
פרק חמישי | Chapter Five
The moshav talked. They always did.
"?לא אכפת לך" "Don't you care?"
"אכפת לי רק ממך." "I only care about you."
"אבל השכנים—" "But the neighbors—"
"השכנים יתרגלו." "The neighbors will get used to it."
She moved into his house. Her childhood dream, thirty years late. But some things are worth waiting for.
