Independence Day. The beaches packed. The sky about to explode.
"?יש לך מקום לצפות?" asked the stranger. "Do you have a place to watch?"
"לא. אני חדשה בארץ." "No. I'm new in the country."
"בואי איתי. יש לי גג." "Come with me. I have a roof."
פרק שני | Chapter Two
His name was Nir. Sabra. Tel Aviv.
"?מאיפה עלית?" "Where did you immigrate from?"
"ארגנטינה." "Argentina."
"?למה באת לישראל?" "Why did you come to Israel?"
"לחפש בית." "To look for home."
פרק שלישי | Chapter Three
The fireworks began. Colors across the sky.
"!זה יפה!" "This is beautiful!"
"כמוך." "Like you."
"?אתה תמיד ככה ישיר?" "Are you always this direct?"
"ביום העצמאות? כן." "On Independence Day? Yes."
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
Between explosions, they created their own.
"!ניר... אנחנו לא מכירים" "Nir... we don't know each other!"
"עכשיו אנחנו מכירים." "Now we do."
"!זה... זה מדהים" "This is... amazing!"
"זו עצמאות." "This is independence."
