"המפעל הזה הורג את העיר," said the lawyer at the town hall meeting. "This plant is killing the city."
"המפעל הזה מפרנס את העיר," Tzachi answered. "This plant feeds the city."
Their eyes met. Sparks that had nothing to do with electricity.
פרק שני | Chapter Two
Her name was Ayala. Tel Aviv lawyer. Green agenda.
"?אתה לא מבין מה אתם עושים לאוויר" "Don't you understand what you're doing to the air?"
"את לא מבינה מה יקרה לאנשים בלי עבודה." "You don't understand what will happen to people without work."
"אני מבינה שאתה עיקש." "I understand that you're stubborn."
"גם את." "So are you."
פרק שלישי | Chapter Three
Court hearings. Public debates. Coffee breaks.
"?למה את מסתכלת עליי ככה?" "Why do you look at me like that?"
"כי אני לא מבינה אותך." "Because I don't understand you."
"?מה יש להבין?" "What's to understand?"
"איך אתה יכול להיות כזה אדם טוב ולעשות דבר כזה רע." "How you can be such a good person and do such a bad thing."
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
She won the case. The plant had to reduce emissions.
"?מרוצה?" "Satisfied?"
"חלקית." "Partially."
"?מה עוד את רוצה?" "What else do you want?"
"ארוחת ערב. איתך." "Dinner. With you."
פרק חמישי | Chapter Five
He moved to renewable energy. She moved to Hadera.
"?מי היה מאמין?" "Who would have believed?"
"שאני אעבוד בסולארי?" "That I'd work in solar?"
"שאני אגור בחדרה." "That I'd live in Hadera."
"האהבה עושה דברים מוזרים." "Love does strange things."
