Fiesta Forever | Fiesta Para Siempre
"A party planner and a reluctant guest find that every celebration leads to something worth celebrating"
Fiesta Forever
Fiesta Para Siempre
I planned fiestas that made people cry with joy. She came to one looking like she'd rather be anywhere else.
"Not a party person?" I asked.
"Not a people person."
"Then why are you here?"
"My sister made me. It's her birthday."
Her name was Carolina, and she spent the entire party in the corner, observing.
"You're watching my work," I said, joining her.
"I'm analyzing. It's what I do."
"What's your verdict?"
"Too many streamers. Not enough substance."
Harsh. But interesting.
"What would you do differently?" I challenged.
"More meaningful touches. Less generic decoration. Things that say something about the person being celebrated."
"Help me with the next one."
"I'm not a party planner."
"Neither was I. Until I was."
She helped. Reluctantly at first, then with growing enthusiasm. Her eye for detail was remarkable.
"You're good at this," I admitted.
"I'm good at noticing what matters."
"What matters right now?"
"You're looking at me differently."
I was. She was impossible not to see once you started looking.
"I like working with you," I said.
"I like working with you too."
"Just work?"
"For now."
The kiss happened after a wedding we planned together. Our best work yet.
"Now?" I asked.
"Now," she agreed.
We plan fiestas together. Every celebration, every milestone, every reason to bring people together.
"To the party planner," clients toast us.
"To the woman who made me love parties," she says.
"To finding celebration in each other," I add.
Fiesta forever—where every party leads somewhere, and the best celebrations are the ones you share.
