Ben Gurion Airport. Arrivals. Chaos.
"?את רוצה לחלוק מונית?" asked Miri. "Do you want to share a taxi?"
"אני לא יודעת לאן אני הולכת," said the tourist. "I don't know where I'm going."
"?בכלל?" "At all?"
"בכלל." "At all."
פרק שני | Chapter Two
Her name was Sophie. First time in Israel.
"?למה באת?" "Why did you come?"
"לחפש משהו." "To look for something."
"?מה?" "What?"
"אם הייתי יודעת, לא הייתי צריכה לחפש." "If I knew, I wouldn't need to look."
פרק שלישי | Chapter Three
"אני חוזרת אחרי עשרים שנה," Miri said. "I'm coming back after twenty years."
"?למה עזבת?" "Why did you leave?"
"כי חשבתי שהעולם יותר גדול." "Because I thought the world was bigger."
"?ומצאת?" "And did you find?"
"מצאתי שהבית נשאר בית." "I found that home stays home."
פרק רביעי | Chapter Four
The taxi dropped Miri first.
"?אני אראה אותך?" "Will I see you?"
"?איפה?" "Where?"
"זו ארץ קטנה." "It's a small country."
"אז כנראה שכן." "Then probably yes."
פרק חמישי | Chapter Five
They met again. At the same airport. Sophie leaving. Miri arriving.
"?מצאת מה שחיפשת?" "Did you find what you were looking for?"
"כן." "Yes."
"?מה?" "What?"
"שאני רוצה לחזור." "That I want to come back."
